Chess game review

Review your chess games with a coach you can question

ChessCue reviews your games with Stockfish and lets you ask an AI coach about any move. On Club and Grandmaster, import games from Chess.com or Lichess, see the moments that decided the result, and turn the positions you missed into practice.

What a ChessCue game review shows you

A review starts with the engine and ends with an explanation you can remember.

  • The turning points where the evaluation swung
  • Move classifications and a combined game rating
  • The opening you played and where you left the known line
  • A narrated recap that walks through the story of the game
  • Practice positions built from the moves you missed

Ask why, not just what

Engine analysis tells you a move was a mistake. It rarely tells you why in a way you will remember. In ChessCue you can stop on any move and ask the coach what you missed, what your opponent was threatening, or which plan fit the position.

Your questions and the coach's answers are saved with the game, so you can come back to them before your next match.

Import games from Chess.com and Lichess

On Club and Grandmaster, link your Chess.com username or authorize your Lichess account, and ChessCue imports your games so you can review them next to the games you play in ChessCue. You can import your full history, and with automatic sync turned on, new games come in when you open ChessCue.

Turn mistakes into practice

Every analyzed game produces practice positions from the moves you missed. Club players can practice from any analyzed game and follow one recurring coaching focus, such as opening mistakes.

Grandmaster adds every recurring focus, opening insights across all your games, and scheduled practice that brings positions back until they stick.

A review routine that fits in ten minutes

Start with the moments where the evaluation changed most, not with move one. At each of them, write down what you were thinking before you look at the engine. Then ask the coach to explain the difference between your idea and the better move. The guide on how to review your chess games covers the full routine.

Frequently asked questions

Is game review free?

Yes, on Club and Grandmaster. Link your account and ChessCue imports your games. You can review them with the same coach and practice positions from them.
