ChessCue builds on work by open source developers, artists, and the Lichess community. This page credits each project and links to its license.

Chess engine and artwork

Stockfish
The Stockfish developers. Stockfish.js by Chess.com and Nathan Rugg.
ChessCue runs Stockfish 17.1 Lite, the single threaded WebAssembly build of Stockfish.js, in your browser to analyze positions. ChessCue does not modify the engine. The notice published beside the engine lists the exact files and explains how to rebuild them from the corresponding source.

The board shows Colin M.L. Burnett's chess piece drawings without changes. The author offers them under several licenses. ChessCue uses them under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license.
